  • Training programme on preparation of vermicompost, compost and bio-pesticides
  • Trainsing programme on usage of bio-fertilisers and planting of biomass yielding plants on farm bunds
  • Demonstration of organic farming practices
  • Exposure visit of farmers to various sites

  • Establishment of marketing outlet for organic produces

  • Farmers have established vermicompost units and bio digester units as a first step towards organic farming (1800 units producing 11,000 tons of vermicompost)
  • Efficient utilization of agricultural waste by the farmers
  • Farmers have established biomass trees
  • Increased soil moisture through incorporation of vermicompost and biomass
  • Farmers have reduced the application of chemical fertilizers
  • Reduced cost of cultivation
  • Farmers have registered for organic certification
