Immediate objective Increase the family income of 20000 small and marginal farmers from Rs.30,000 to Rs.80,000 per annum
Activities
  • Planning of soil and water conservation measures in farmers’ fields
  • Training of farmers on soil and water conservation
  • Training of farmers on sustainable agricultural technology
  • Introduction of high yielding varieties and crops
  • Provision of credit to farmers

 

Output

  • Farmers have actively participated in adopting soil and water conservation technologies in about 1.25 lakh ha.
  • There is Increased crop productivity of 25-35 percent in Greengram, Groundnut, Sunflower, Onion, Cotton and Rabi Jowar
  • Area under Double cropping has been increased by 35%

Outcome

  • Increased crop productivity due to increased soil moisture availability
  • Area under double cropping system increased
  • Migration to distant places reduced as employment opportunities were increased
