About Us

Agricultural Science Foundation, a non-profit voluntary organization was established in the year 1981 by Late Shri K.H.Patilji, the then Honorable Minster for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Government of Karnataka.

The Foundation is dedicated to social, educational and economic development of rural and urban poor. The Foundation is working in fragile agro-ecological regions of the northern part of Karnataka State. It’s focus is on natural resource management,  promotion of organic farming practices, building peoples institutions by organizing them in to Self Help Groups and need based interventions for improving the livelihood of resource poor families.

The Foundation has well equipped infrastructure facilities and resource persons as its campus for organizing need based training programs. In collaboration with State Bank of India, the Foundation has established training center in non-farm sector for promotion of self employment opportunities for rural and urban youth.

Legal Registrations
  • Agricultural Science Foundation is registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 bearing no 213/1981-81

  • It is registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 1976 bearing No. 094410003. The foundation is registered with Income Tax for 12A wide F.No. 118/456/CIT-HBL/2006-07 and 80G for the Act 1961 wide F.No.118/456/CIT-HBL/2007-08

  • Area of Operation

    The area of operation of Agricultural Science Foundation is entire Karnataka state with focus on northern districts of the state
