Agricultural Science Foundation was promoted by Late Shri K.H.Patilji , the then Honorable Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Government of Karnataka. The Founder President of Agricultural Science Foundation had an integrated vision of agriculture and rural development.
Mr. Patilji has established cooperative textile and oil mills in the region to facilitate value addition to the agriculture produce for better market price.
He promoted educational and health institutions in rural areas. Creation of self employment opportunities to the rural youth was his utmost priority.
He has promoted banking institution for facilitating credit to the farming community.
